About Me
Hi, I'm Syd!
I am a recent graduate of the Bachelor of Interior Design program at Vancouver Island University. I have always found comfort in artistic endeavours, including sewing, painting, ceramics, and of course, interior design. I had come across interior design in early high school through my parent's building our home. The opportunity to be an interior designer as a career had sat in the back of my mind until years later when I was taking business classes at VIU, and knew that accounting was not my calling. However helpful, the classes I was taking made me realize that I wanted a life full of creativity, and I haven't looked back since.

I was born and raised on Vancouver Island, just south of Nanaimo. Because of that, one of the big driving influences in my design is the natural landscape surrounding me and the focus of bringing outside influences into a space. I absolutely love creating functional, fun, and creative spaces.
