Shannon's Place Memory Care Day Centre

Shannon's Place is a dementia facility located in Qualicum, BC. This facility will be a place where people with dementia and Alzheimers can be met with daily activities on behalf of Shannon Place's skilled, caring, and qualified staff who provide sensitive care. The activities and care will be provided daily and will range depending on the guest's interest. The available activities based on the design are wheelchair and walker-accessible wander paths, sensory rooms, gardening facilities, a workshop kitchen, a hair salon, and flexible rooms for physical and cognitive activities. The facility will incorporate natural, biophilic emphasis - using light and connection to nature to foster safe, calm feelings in a space that could feel sterile, dreary, and monotonous.
